With the same strength and passion, Cotto d’Este defends its ideal of beauty to create Silvis, the new series of wood grain inspired porcelain stoneware.After attentive research, Cotto d’Este has chosen four unique types of wood, with a great personality. Four types of wood with a vivacious chromatic concept and an intensely natural appeal to fulfil the needs of the most contemporary trends. Cortex is the most authentic wood inspired colour, suggesting the essence of this material, as the name brings to mind.The richness and variety of veins, the tactile nature of the material that characterise Silvis are offered in two finishes: Classic, the most refined, and Country, the most rustic.
Cortex Country recalls hand planing. The differences in terms of roughness and the uneven texture of the wood grain, which are typical of an ageing process, along with noticeable tone differences, enhance the rustic and natural appearance.The Cortex Classic finish recalls wood treated with linseed oil, of which it maintains the minor differences of reflection due to small variations in depth. The effect is that of a perfectly flat, and therefore elegant and refined, surface.
